The two main site constraints were it’s lack of access and storage space. The key to the successful delivery of the project was the co-ordination between the production of separate waste streams and timings of transport of waste off site.
A combination of both hand-parting methods and mechanical demolition were used to carefully demolish the structure and maintain the integrity of the perimeter walls.
Waste steams included brick, concrete, tiles and timber. As such 100% of all arisings from site were recycled.
